Group arrives at Rome’s FCO International Airport. After passport control and customs, everyone meets at the designated meeting point and we head out! Lunch is at a local favorite of Lino’s as an introduction to Italian cuisine. We then walk to the hotel to shower off those airplane germs and get ready for the day. We celebrate Mass at a beautiful church nearby and do a short walking tour of the city. We have an early dinner on the Borgo Pio and get back to the hotel to get some much-needed sleep.

Wednesday,

June 10

Today we start with a tour of San Damiano hermitage. We get to experience the beauty of nature that St Francis loved so much and enjoy the area. Mass will be at San Damiano. Once again in the afternoon, we have free time to shop, pray, eat, and relax in this beautiful city. What sets this pilgrimage apart from most others is the time to really experience Assisi in a way most pilgrims never get to experience it. In late afternoon, we’ll visit a local olive oil mill to taste the delicious olive oils produced in the region. Another great dinner as a group this evening.
